Grant Mama was inspired by the need to see more women and Black creatives get funded.
My story began with a determination to make my music sustainable. But, that determination led me to something more.
Hi! I’ m Jasmine Stallworth, also known as Honey Gold Jasmine and I founded Grant Mama in 2021. A natural born artist, my path ventured into a whole new world in 2015 when I participated in Oakland's renowned fellowship at United Roots: Youth Impact Hub. Through this entrepreneurial program, I learned to approach business from a comprehensive, socially aware perspective. Excelling in this environment, I became a program manager, marking the beginning of my journey into grant writing. I assisted over 100 young business owners write business plans and pitch for $100,000 in funding.
Since then, I worked with over 200 entrepreneurs and have secured over $450,000 for my clients to date. I offer not only my intellect but also my heart, with the objective to ensure that each client has handcrafted, award-winning proposals. It’s been fulfilling to galvanize my resources and energy to propel underserved communities forward with innovative strategies.
But Grant Mama isn’t just me, we’re a budding collective of professional writers ready to help build your next proposal. Our name was inspired by the need to provide a more accessible, welcoming, empathetic grant writing resource. With us, you’ll have a teammate who believes in helping you maximize your impact with excellence. Come join the Grant Mama roster and get the funding you deserve!
